Title: He On The Sea, I On The Shore Artwork by: YMI X @shadowstories_ Description: The experience of mental illness can be incredibly isolating–not only for the one who’s suffering, but for their loved ones too. Grief, helplessness, confusion and even anger are common feelings for carers. What’s worse is feeling cut off from loved ones by the very waves of despair that threaten to drown them.
When we’re torn apart by an unfathomable ocean, is there anything we, as carers, can do beyond waiting for them patiently on the shore?
When storms rage all around, we can still be beacons of hope–brave and steadfast for the ones we love who are engulfed in darkness. While we don’t have the power to overcome their darkness, we can help to share a little light that points to a greater Hope who walks with us through every storm.
